Editorial Policy

Our editorial standard is straightforward: explain the facts clearly, identify meaningful tradeoffs, and never present a security tool as a guarantee.

Last updated:

Research and sourcing

We prefer primary sources such as official product documentation, platform support pages, standards organizations, security advisories, and developer documentation. Secondary reporting may provide useful context, but important setup steps and product claims should be checked against an authoritative source whenever one is available.

Product interfaces, pricing, offers, and features can change. Time-sensitive pages should state when their important details were last checked.

Reviews and comparisons

Comparisons are organized around reader needs rather than a single universal winner. Depending on the topic, we may evaluate:

  • Supported platforms and authentication methods
  • Backup, recovery, synchronization, and export options
  • Privacy and account-security controls
  • Ease of setup and everyday use
  • Pricing and plan limitations
  • Important tradeoffs, lock-in, and failure scenarios

We distinguish documented product capabilities from our interpretation or recommendation. We do not invent hands-on testing, certifications, endorsements, or security guarantees.

Affiliate relationships

Compensation does not determine whether a product is included, excluded, praised, or criticized. Commercial pages may contain tracked links, but non-affiliate alternatives can also be included when they are relevant to the reader.

A clear commission disclosure will appear near affiliate recommendations and links. The complete policy is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and updates

If we discover a material error, we aim to correct it promptly. Substantive changes may be reflected in the page’s review or update date. Readers can report an error through the contact form.

Important limitation

Instant2FA provides general educational information. It does not provide individualized cybersecurity, legal, financial, or account-recovery services. Readers should follow the official recovery and support channels of the service involved.
